Objectives

SFC Graduate School, guided by the institutional objectives, offers programs aligned with the goals of National development and which are consistent with established International Standards.

The Graduate School is primarily concerned with professional competence and personal character development. As such, it evolves around the thrust for continuous professional growth and academic excellence.

The SFC Graduate Studies, in its pursuit of providing relevant knowledge and promoting personal development and social responsibility, conducts quality researches and studies based on the following objectives:

• Innovate and translate holistic education into meaningful action in their respective field of endeavors;
• Are dedicated, productive researchers who will continue to push further frontiers of human knowledge;
• Promote growth of quality researches and studies that contribute to the creation of a truly advanced and civilized society.

Programs

Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management (Ph.D.)

Provides the school administrator with specialized instruction in educational management. The course produces specially educated men and women who generate new knowledge, distill into wisdom, transmit it through teaching and utilize it as responses to the interest of a developing country, produces truly dedicated, productive researchers who will push forward the frontiers of human knowledge, promotes the growth of a special class of individuals who can be the most effective instruments of producing research that contributes to the development of the country. It develops educational professionals for leadership and research service for the improvement of quality Christian Education.

The Ph.D. program aims to produce professional who:

• Are research oriented who will push forward the function of human knowledge;
• Manage effectively the affairs of an educational institution following the new orientation in educational management;
• Assumes responsibilities in the social transformation of society through specialization and differentiated roles.

Master of Arts in Education(M.A.)

Course provides advanced knowledge and skills in educational management. It prepares the professionals of the education sector to become administrators, supervisors of educational institutions and professionalizes teaching proficiency of the individuals to become researchers in education and related fields for the improvement of school management and instruction. It trains the professionals to become leaders in educational management.

The M.A. Ed. Program of St. Ferdinand College endeavors to produce professional who:

• Is able to generate new knowledge, distill it into wisdom, transmit it through teaching and utilize it as a response to the interests of our developing country;
• Is truly dedicated, productive researchers who will push forward the frontiers of human knowledge;
• Promotes the growth of a special class of individuals who can be the most effective instruments of producing functional that contributes to the development of the country.
• Have effective leadership, research, service for the improvement of quality Christian Education.

Master in Business Administration (MBA)

It behooves every business firm to be dynamic and relevant in its mission, and to be always conscious of significant changes in its milieu. To do this, it is necessary to have continuous and critical analysis of the opportunities and threats afforded by the changing environmental conditions. If our country is to progress, part of an educational program should be geared towards increased productivity. It is, therefore, envisioned that a business educational program should prepare man with improved management skills in business.

SFC Master in Business Administration Program, therefore, aims to produce graduates who:

• Possess management skills of business executives and entrepreneurs by undergoing intensive researches related to one’s line of interest;
• Undertake entrepreneurship in developing new small scale industries; to assist in the self-reliance programs of the government and the private sector;
• Are thoroughly grounded in the realm of scholarship and research for better business service;
• Undertake applied research related to business administration and cope up with relevant information to assist in the country’s economic development; and
• Participate in the programs for the development of the country and prepare for the project growth and involvement in the global economic vision.
